Dr Thomas Pham


Dr Thomas Pham

Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon

Dr Thomas Pham specialises in medical and surgical diseases of the retina, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, retinal tear and detachment, epiretinal membrane and macular holes.

He graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2000 and was awarded a Master of Medicine by the University of Sydney in 2006 for his research into the relationship between macular degeneration and cataract surgery. He completed general ophthalmology training in Christchurch, New Zealand before undertaking further fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland and University of Toronto, Canada.

Dr Pham has authored and presented research papers at Australian and international meetings, and has an ongoing interest in research into disorders of the retina. He is involved in the teaching of registrars and medical students, local GPs and optometrists. He is also involved in programs and field trips restoring sight to those in developing countries such and Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam through the Myanmar Eye Care Program (MECP) and Australian Health Humanitarian Aid (AHHA).

Dr Pham currently practices at Bankstown Eye Specialists, Bankstown, Marrickville Eye Specialists, Marrickville, Sydney Retina Clinic and Day Surgery, Sydney CBD, Orange Eye Centre, Orange and Dubbo Eye Centre, Dubbo. He has ongoing commitments providing a vitreoretinal service to rural areas of Central West NSW, and has weekly clinics in Orange and Dubbo.

Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon

Dr Jerome Ha is an Australian-trained Ophthalmologist with interest in cataract, glaucoma, retinal diseases and Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He graduated in Medicine from The University of Melbourne, Australia. He has completed a Master in Medicine, Ophthalmic Science at The University of Sydney, with distinctions in Ophthalmic Anatomy and Physiology. Jerome has published research papers on glaucoma, medical retina and oculoplastic in peer reviewed journals.

Jerome is a RANZCO (Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists) certified Ophthalmologist and fellowship trained Oculoplastic surgeon. Jerome commenced training as an Ophthalmologist at the Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia. He completed a fellowship in comprehensive Ophthalmology in Sydney. He has also further completed his sub-specialty training in Oculoplastic at NHS England, United Kingdom, under the guidance of Mr Suresh Sagili and Mr Robert Dapling. During his Oculoplastic fellowship, Jerome has gained experience in eyelid, tear duct and eye socket surgery. He has been involved in the surgical training of future Ophthalmologists both in Australia and United Kingdom.

Jerome’s clinical practice is dedicated to the medical and surgical treatment of eye conditions. He tailors the treatment plan to the specific needs of individual patients. He is a caring surgeon and doctor. His passion in Oculoplastic surgery is balance in symmetry. He strives to restore and rejuvenate the tissues around the eye.

In addition to English, Jerome also speaks fluent Mandarin.
